Tournament Details
Dates: Thursdays from May 5, 2011 to July 28, 2011. Closed National Open Championship Thursday.
Time: Rounds start at 7:00pm
Excellent for beginners and intermediate players to advanced.
Format: 12 Rounds USCF Rated Swiss.
Players can claim a forfeit win after 30 minutes and play in the Undercard section.
All Players are required to play the last round if in contention for a prize. Players will be paired for every round.
NOTE: You must be a current USCF member to play. To sign up as a member go to www.uschess.org
Time Control: G/90min with no time delay
Entry Fee: $10.00 for the Main Event
2 Sections- Main Event, Undercard
Walk-ins can play for $1 a round in the Undercard starting @ 7:30pm.

Seating is limited to 32 boards (64players)

Byes: Two half point byes available when there are a minimum of 32 entries. (NO BYES AFTER ROUND 9 UNLESS REQUESTED BEFORE ROUND 3) There are forced byes when there are an odd number of entries, and you must play at least 10 of 12 games to qualify for any prize.

Undercard
This section is for players that won their game due to a forfeit, and players that are given a forced bye and also walk-ins.
Time Control: G/90 No Time Delay.
No prizes for this section, just a chance to play a rated game. Prizes can only be claimed in the Main Event section.
Round Times: at 7:30pm on Thursdays
**Should qualified players elect not to play in the North Versus South Championship, John Trivett will select the alternates to represent the South.**
